Buy Premium for someone else: a partner, a parent, a friend who keeps losing track. Add a message of your own for a birthday or a thank-you. Each gift is a code for one person, e-mailed to them with your message or to you to pass on, and it never expires. They redeem it on the web with a free account, and a gifted year starts when anything they already have runs out.

Anyone who pays for Tickbase on or before 31 March 2027 is a Founder: a Premium subscription, Lifetime, or a gift for someone else, on the web, the desktop app or a phone. There is no separate plan and no separate price: it is the same Premium, and the same app. Four things are different, and they are the only four.
Trial days don't count; what matters is the date your first paid year starts. If you cancel and come back after the cutoff, you start over as a regular subscriber.
Sign in with Google or Apple on any device. That's the only thing an account needs. Your existing tasks come with you.
Premium is fully on for 14 days, with no limits. Install Tickbase on your phone, laptop and desktop and your tasks follow you to all of them. Arrived through a friend's referral link? Your trial runs 28 days.
Pay $12 for a year of Premium, or do nothing. If you do nothing, Tickbase quietly goes back to Free on each device. Sync carries on, and nothing is deleted.
Refer a friend and they get 28 days instead of 14. You earn credits when they stay and when they subscribe, and credits unlock app icons that cannot be bought. How referrals work.
$12 a year is not a launch discount. Tickbase has no AI features, no sales team and no ad spend, so there's nothing extra to pass on to you, and it's built by one person in the UK. What you are paying for is the app itself: room past the free limits, and the work of keeping it maintained, supported and running. That is the whole business model.
We mean to keep it at $12 for as many years as we can, but we won't promise “never”. If the price ever has to rise, it applies only from your next renewal, you will hear about it by email at least 30 days beforehand, and you can cancel first and keep Premium to the end of the year you have paid for. On the web, through Paddle, our merchant of record: card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal. Prices are in your local currency, excluding VAT; Paddle adds any VAT or sales tax at checkout and sends you a proper invoice. On iPhone and Android, through the App Store or Google Play.
No. Your card details never reach us. On the web you pay in Paddle's own secure checkout, which opens over our page, and Paddle takes the payment, keeps the card if your subscription renews, and sends the invoice. On iPhone and Android, Apple or Google take the payment with the card on your account. All we keep is whether you have Premium and a reference to the purchase, so a refund or a cancellation can be matched to your account.
There is no introductory rate: $12 is the real price, not a first-year offer, and we intend to hold it for as many years as we can — there are no AI features or ad spend to push it up. We can't promise it will never change, because the cost of running the service can. If it does, the change applies only from your next renewal, you'll hear about it by email at least 30 days beforehand, and you can cancel first and keep Premium to the end of the year you have paid for. Because keeping it running costs money, and limits are how we ask for it without holding your data hostage. Sync is free and every account is encrypted the same way, because a to-do app that only follows you around if you pay is not much of a to-do app. What Premium buys is room: unlimited lists, habits and reminders, statistics over any range and sharing lists with other people. If you never hit a limit, you never need to pay.
No. Only the person sharing the list pays. Hosting a shared list is Premium; the people they invite can be on Free and still add, edit and complete tasks in that list. If the owner's Premium lapses the list stays readable for everyone and becomes read-only until they resubscribe. Nothing is deleted.
The app tells you. When you try to add a sixth list, a fourth habit or countdown, or a second reminder on a task, Tickbase shows a short note saying what the free limit is and what Premium includes. Nothing is deleted or hidden: everything you already have keeps working exactly as before. Upgrading lifts the limit immediately, on every device you sign in on.
Apple and Google set their own prices in each country, from a fixed list of price points. There often isn't one that matches ours, so the store price is the next one up, before any tax is added. That means buying inside the app can cost more than buying here.
Buying on this site is always the best price, and it works everywhere: sign in on your iPhone, Android, desktop or the web and Premium is there. Buying through your phone's store is the same Premium if you prefer the convenience.
No. Premium is billed yearly: $12 a year works out to $1 a month. Until 31 March 2027 you can also pay once, with Lifetime.
14 days, no questions asked. If you bought through the web, email hello@tickbase.app within 14 days of the charge and we'll refund it in full. If you bought through the App Store or Google Play, refunds are processed by Apple or Google under their policies; contact us and we'll point you to the right request page. Where you cancel depends on where you subscribed, not on which device you happen to be using.
Subscribed on our website or in the desktop app: Settings → Account → Manage subscription. That opens your Paddle billing page (in your browser, if you are on the desktop app), and you cancel there in a couple of clicks.
Subscribed on iPhone or Android: cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions, as with any other app. If you are not sure which you used, Settings → Account in Tickbase says.
Either way, Premium carries on until the end of the year you have paid for.
Nothing is deleted, with one exception. Your tasks remain on each device you've used, and you keep using Tickbase on one of them for free, with the free limits on new lists, habits, countdowns and reminders. Anything already over a free limit stays as it is. You can export a JSON copy at any time. The exception is files attached to tasks, which are part of Premium: they stay readable and downloadable for 90 days after Premium ends, we e-mail you 30 days and 7 days before the end, and then we remove them — we would rather not hold data you are no longer using, even encrypted. Subscribing again in that time keeps them. If you delete your account, everything stored on our servers is removed.
Not as a bundle. Each person pays $12 a year for their own account, and sharing a list needs only the sharer to have Premium: up to four free members per list, Premium members unlimited, and a list shared with you never counts towards your own limits. If you want to pay for the whole family, buy each of them a gift: up to ten at once.
If your first paid year of Premium starts on or before 31 March 2027, your account is marked as a Founder. You go last on price: for as long as you stay subscribed, a rise leaves the year you are in and your next renewal at the price you joined at, and you hear about it before anyone else. You also get a permanent Founder badge in your profile and achievements, a gold crown on your profile picture, and your “Premium since” date shown as a badge. Buying Lifetime by the cutoff makes you a Founder too. Founders pay the same as everyone else today and use the same app; there are no other perks. Details above.
Yes. Choose Give Premium on this page, with no account needed, or in the app go to Settings → Account → Give Premium. Buy a year of Premium for $12 or, until 31 March 2027, Lifetime for $50, up to ten at a time. Each gift is a code for one person. Give us their e-mail address and we send it to them; otherwise it comes to you. Bought in the app, or with an account you make later, the codes are in Settings too, with which have been used. You can add a personal message of up to 500 characters: it is in their e-mail and shown again when they redeem the gift.
They redeem it on the web with a free account: the link in the e-mail does it for them. A gifted year starts when anything they already have ends, so it never overlaps time they have paid for. Codes never expire, and a gift nobody has redeemed can be refunded within 14 days. The guide walks through it step by step.
Premium, paid for once: $50, for as long as Tickbase exists. It includes everything Premium does now and everything added to it later, and there is nothing to renew. It is on sale only until 31 March 2027, while Tickbase is new, and buying it by then makes you a Founder.
Buy it in the app, under Settings → Account. If you already subscribe yearly on our website, that subscription stops renewing by itself. If you subscribe through the App Store or Google Play, cancel that subscription yourself afterwards: only Apple or Google can stop it, and the app will remind you. Like any payment, it can be refunded within 14 days.
We don't plan to, but Lifetime makes it a fair question. If Tickbase ever had to close, you would hear as early as we possibly could: at least three months ahead wherever we are able to, and less only if we could no longer pay to keep the servers running.
Until the last day, export keeps working, so you can download everything you have from any one of your devices, and Settings → Storage downloads every attachment you have added in one go. Unused months of a yearly subscription would be refunded. Lifetime lasts as long as Tickbase does, so it ends with it rather than being refunded. The details are in the terms.
No. There is one plan, Premium, and nothing sold on top of it. Until 31 March 2027 you can pay for it once instead of yearly, with Lifetime, and it is the same Premium either way. What is on the roadmap comes to the Premium you already have, nothing is sold as credits, and nothing Premium does today will be taken out and sold back to you. The one thing we may offer one day is extra attachment storage beyond the 10 GB every Premium account has, for the few who need far more than that; it would be optional, priced to cover what the storage costs us, and the 10 GB would stay in Premium.
Every Premium account has 10 GB for the files attached to its tasks (1 GB during the trial), with up to 10 files per task and 20 MB each. Countdown photos count towards the same 10 GB. On a shared list, the files count against the storage of the person who owns the list, whoever added them, so members do not need Premium to attach. Settings → Storage shows what is in use, which tasks hold the most, and downloads every attachment in one go.
